Book Review

Pig by Roald Dahl

Lexington’s parents were shot of the side of their apartment building. Lexington lost his parents at 12 days old. His Aunt Glosspan raised him in the State of Virginia. Lexington only ate fresh farm foods. Lexington was a great cook. Lexington died at the age of 17. Lexington was murdered at 17 years old.

I enjoyed this story very much.

A fact that I know is that Lexington was born to be cook.

I think that anyone would  like to read this book because it is really interesting.

Pig

This is my reading task for the week and our book is Pig by Roald Dahl.

The Day Thanos Destroyed the Earth

One day the sun was shining bright, brighter than it ever did before so the people wanted to know what was going to happen. On that same day, something interesting came over the morning news it said that the sun was going to explode due to some sort of power source striking at it but what they didn’t know was when the sun was going to explode. The scientist said that if the sun does explode the Earth and everybody on it would perish due to an extremely scorching hot heat wave.  On the final day of the existence of the human race, the most powerful being in the whole universe who cause the Earth's demise was Thanos. Thanos shot the sun 1 more time and then the sun blew up. The Earth’s demise was amusing to him while he flew away on his ultra huge space Cruiser with his infinity gauntlet and everybody died on the Earth.

Yr8 Camp

Last week the year 8's went to a leadership camp and we did all these fun cool activities. We were there for three days from the 15th to the 17th of May 2019. 

Some of the activities I did were Air Rifles, Paintball, Go karts, railway jiggers, BMX and bike track. We had to miss out on 1 of the activities because we didn't have enough time to do them.  

My favourite activities were Air Rifles and Paintball. I like doing Air Rifles be cause we got to shoot targets and because we got to shoot Rifles. I like doing Paintball because if we got shot we had the coolest bruise to prove that we got shot pretty hard.

After camp we went to this garden had lunch and then came back to school.

This term for inquiry we are learning about latitude and longitude and my teacher pin pointed some locations on google maps and we had to describe each one.

For instants wellington is the capital of New Zealand it is also south of the north island.

Today's Assembly

Today we had a school assembly. We are learning about longitude and latitude and our team are learning about the 7 continents. We have to choose 1 to learn about and study and make a presentation about it.  I would like to learn about asia.

Career talk

Today we had this talk with some famous Ex Pt England students like Jason Young, Tanielu Tele'a and  Fiona Bakulich and they told us about their careers. 

Jason young works at Dysart Timbers and he did this programme called Iron man and its been going for 40 years. 

Tanielu He's a rugby union player he plays for the blues and he also came to Pt England school 15 years ago he played a whole bunch of sports.

Fiona is Mrs Tele'a's sister she works for a funeral company called Tipene Funerals she is also on a T.V series called The Casketeers she is a Co-odinator for the company too so that would be cool.
